Notes
Composed in February 2022.
A month marked by severe storms, gloomy weather and many social tensions,
including the hopeful trucker revolution in Canada against the Trudeau
terror, the tensions around Russia-Ukraine, culminating on 24 February in an
invasion by Russian troops in the Ukraine .
A wintry b/flats-mood ending in G minor, the key of the constellation
Aquarius and the G is the Saturn tone.....
In terms of harmony, the emphasis is on the minor seventh chord, a dubious
chord, both major and minor, neutral so as to say, a brooding mood as if
something is about to happen...
The Aquarius time and the scales B flat major and G minor, the
Aquarius keys stand between hope and despair....
It is winter, a dark and difficult time, but sometimes on a sunny day it can
seem as if it is already spring, then the heart bursts open, full of spring
expectations, only to be disappointed again by storms, cold and snow.
The Aquarius is also the idealist who strives for a better world in dark
times of terror and oppression....
The world situation was also like this in February 2022: For 2 years now,
the world has been suffering from the corona terror, which turned the entire
world into a concentration camp in March 2020, and in countries such as
Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Austria and Germany at that time the terror
was totally terrible with the mandatory vaccinations rolled out, in fact
mass murder that was planned.
The truckers' revolution gave hope that citizens can effectively defend
themselves against this terror...
But it was a hard winter there, with snow storms and extreme cold, the
Canadian heroes and their supporters had to endure that....
In the Netherlands and many countries in Europe it seemed that most absurd
terror measures [temporarily...] would be withdrawn, which also gave hope.
But we know this is only temporary, because in Europe legislation is being
prepared by the EU to turn Europe into a communist concentration camp with
totalitarian control and a Chinese-style social credit system...
And then came the invasion of the Russian troops in Ukraine....
In short, a mood between hope and despair in gloomy times....

De dreigende stemming van het werk, het gevoel van tussen hoop en
vertwijfeling hangt oa samen met de wereld-situatie, het was winter met in
februari, de waterman-periode, de periode van de lente-hoop, duister zwaar
bewolkt weer en een paar zware stormen....
Het staat ook in G klein, dat is samen met Bes groot de waterman-toonsoort.
Bovendien is de G de saturnus-toon en G klein een saturnus-toonsoort.....
Bij Waterman hoort de rebellie en de revolutie, het was de tijd van de
truckers-revolutie in Canada, waarbij heroïsche mensen in barre
sneeuw-omstandigheden van 30 graden onder nul met grote vrachtwagens de
Canadese hoofdstad bezetten uit protest tegen de door de tiran Trudeau
bevolen verplichte vaccinatie = massamoord, een daad van ongekende moed, wat
hoop gaf dat er na 2 jaar zuchten onder een bizarre uitzichtloze
corona-flauwekul-onderdrukking eindelijk iets hoopgevends ging gebeuren.
Was er eindelijk licht aan het einde van de tunnel....????
Dan was er de politieke dreiging in de Oekraïne, en de invasie startte
meteen na de waterman-periode op 24 februari, ook een gebeurtenis waar een
dreigende invloed van uit ging, wat in de stemming van het stuk is te horen.
Het stuk is echter geheel gebouwd op kleine septiem-akkoorden, een in feite
neutraal akkoord, zowel majeur als mineur, het kan dus beide kanten opgaan,
vreugde en verdriet, hoop en vertwijfeling, of het kan een vredig pastoraal
effect hebben....
De stemming kan misschien - ook door de rommelende bassen - een soort
paukenroffels -, worden vergeleken met de dreigende stemming in de natuur
als er in de verte gerommel van een onweer klinkt en deze steeds dichterbij
komt, en duistere zware, dreigende bewolking boven de dreven hangt in het
somber zwerk....
Dat 'onweer' zou zich later ontladen in de Russisch-oekraïense oorlog....
Het slechte weer zou nog lang aanhouden tot voorbij het begin van de lente
zodat we op 1 april hier zelfs nog sneeuw hadden!
Anderzijds werden aan het eind van de winter opeens [althans in NL] alle
onderdrukkende corona-maatregelen opgeheven, dus de waterman-hoop, leidde
tenslotte toch tot een stralende lente en een zonnig pasen, een mooie lente
hier in Holland.
Maar de gevaren zijn nog niet geweken, ondertussen wordt er gewerkt aan een
digitaal paspoort en vreselijk afspraken met de WHO zodat ieder moment de
ellende weer opnieuw kan beginnen met de terreur.
En in de Oekraïne was de oorlog uitgebroken, met angstaanjagende en
bedreigende dramatische gevechts-situaties, waardoor Richard en Juliya
genoopt waren uit de Oekraïne te vluchten.
[bij het componeren was de oorlog overigens nog niet uitgebroken....]
En alhoewel het een zonnige lente is, blijft het hier nog steeds maar koud
en guur weer....
Het slotgedeelte van het werk is in een pastoraal-vredig pentatonisch
Vaughan Williams-achtig idioom denk ik....
Kortom, hoop en twijfel, dreiging, een donker maar toch vredig pastoraal
slot...
Dat was de stemming van winter 2022.....

hope and despair, or it can have a peaceful pastoral effect....
The mood can perhaps - also because of the rumbling bass - a kind of timpani
roll - be compared to the menacing mood in nature when a thunderstorm
rumbles in the distance and it comes closer and closer, and dark heavy,
threatening clouds above the drifts. hangs in the gloomy sky....
That 'thunderstorm' would later be discharged in the Russo-Ukrainian war....
The bad weather would last well beyond the beginning of spring so that we
even had snow here on April the 1st!
On the other hand, at the end of winter, suddenly [at least in NL] all
suppressive corona measures were lifted, so the Aquarius hope, finally led
to a radiant spring and a sunny Easter, a beautiful spring here in Holland.
But the dangers have not yet passed, in the meantime work is being done on a
digital passport and terrible agreements with the WHO so that the misery can
start all over again with the terror at any moment.
And war had broken out in Ukraine, with terrifying and threatening dramatic
combat situations, forcing Richard and Juliya to flee the Ukraine.

And although it is a sunny spring, it still remains cold and inclement
weather here....
The final part of the work is in a pastoral-peaceful pentatonic Vaughan
Williams-esque idiom.
I think....
In short, hope and doubt, threat, and a dark yet peaceful pastoral
conclusion...
That was the mood of winter 2022.....

Ja prachtig werk Marc! Beste stuk voor mij van afgelopen
jaren.
1e opname vind ik de viool iets sterker, 2e opname het pianospel.
