Gecomponeerd voor Huub Maessen, voor een herdenkingsplechtigheid (met toespraken tussen elk koraaltje) in de open lucht voor 6 koperblazers;
Huub stierf voordat hij het kon uitvoeren;
Ongewild had de componist nu Huub’s eigen ‘In Memoriam’ geschreven....;
Het 3e koraal staat in d klein en is meer dodenmars-achtig;
Deel 1 en 4 in Es groot,
Deel 2 in c klein;
Het einde van deel 4 is vredig-berustend.

Composed for Huub Maessen; who died before he could perform it;
By accident, the composer had made an In Memoriam for his friend...;
Consisting of 4 parts;
Part 1 and 4 in E flat major,
nr. 2 in C minor;
part 3 is more requiem-like in d minor;
The end is very peaceful....
